Captured on a warm July afternoon, this image illustrates a Carder Bumblebee gathering nectar from the vivid blooms of Salvia. Beyond, the background of salvia blooms, softens into delicate washes of faded heather and dusty amethyst, creating a painterly backdrop that gently dissolved into the distance. I love the way its wing-movement has been captured by the late sun.
